EEC and media of EAEU countries discussed joint work for 2023

The prospects for information support of activities by the Eurasian Economic Commission and the EAEU governing bodies in 2023 were discussed at the EEC headquarters during the meeting between Daniyar Turusbekov, Director of the EEC Organizational Support and Protocol Department, and representatives of the leading mass media of the Eurasian Economic Union countries.

Opening the meeting, Daniyar Turusbekov thanked the gathered journalists for their active coverage of the work done by the EAEU governing bodies and expressed his confidence in even more intensive cooperation in 2023.

"On behalf of the Chairman of the Board and our Department we would like to thank you, dear colleagues, for you all-round assistance in covering the Eurasian economic integration. Our internal analysis identified that in 2022 the Union was publicly mentioned around 90,000 times and the Commission featured in 24,000 reports. Overall, there is an increasing public information interest in the EAEU: for this, much credit certainly goes to you. As of today, accreditation applications have been submitted to the Commission by 80 journalists from 14 mass media of all countries of the Union. We are very glad about that and are ready to strengthen our fruitful cooperation further," noted Daniyar Turusbekov.
According to the Director of the Department, the Commission is always open to media representatives and will continue to adhere to the chosen direction for close and mutually beneficial partnership in the information sphere.

Daniyar Turusbekov informed the mass media representatives about upcoming major EAEU events in the year of the Russian chairmanship, including the Eurasian Inter-governmental Council in the Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan) scheduled on February 2-3, the Eurasian Economic Forum that will be held on May 24-25 and timed to the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, as well as a range of other official events planned for June 2023 in Russia.

At the end of the meeting, an official ceremony took place where the media representatives were granted the EEC accreditation cards for work at the Commission events.
