EEC exempted titanium oxides for manufacturing chemical fibers and yarns in Republic of Belarus from import customs duties

The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Council has decided to exempt titanium oxides being imported into the territory of the Republic of Belarus for manufacturing chemical fibers and yarns, in the amount not exceeding 360 tons annually, from import customs duties until December 31, 2023. The tariff exemption will be applied provided that the intended purpose of imported goods is confirmed.

"The need to adopt customs and tariff regulation measures is due to the fact that the Eurasian Economic Union countries fail to manufacture titanium oxides of the composition required by the Belarusian enterprises", the EEC Trade Unit commented on the decision.
The document shall come into effect after 10 calendar days have elapsed from the date of its official publication.
