She has explained that now the authorization-based procedure is used within the Union for exporting wild aquatic biological resources, to which non-tariff regulation measures are applied in trade with third countries. At the same time, it is technically impossible to identify different origins of wild-caught fish and fish grown in aquaculture systems.
In accordance with the EAEU legal and regulatory framework, wild aquatic biological resources are exported upon submission of an export license and (or) an opinion (authorization) to the Union States’ customs authorities. In order to obtain them, some documents, in particular, those confirming the legality of harvesting should be submitted to the Union State’s authorized body.
