EEC adopted amendments to lists of standards to Union's technical regulation for food additives, flavorings and technological aids
The Eurasian Economic Commission's Board approved amendments to the list of standards to the Customs Union's Technical Regulation "Safety requirements to food additives, flavorings and technological aids" (TR CU 029/2012)", which are included in the set of documents to amendments No. 2 of this technical regulation, adopted by Decision No. 84 of the Commission's Council on August 29, 2023 and effective from February 27, 2024.
The list of standards applying which on a voluntary basis will result in compliance with the requirements of TR CU 029/2012 is supplemented with eight standards (five interstate standards and three standards of the Russian Federation), including those stipulating identification characteristics of certain food additives and enzyme preparations.
The list of standards containing rules and methods of research and measurement (testing), including rules of sampling required for applying and complying with the requirements of TR CU 029/2012 and assessing the conformity of technical regulation objects, was supplemented with 53 documents (six standards developed on the basis of ISO international standards, and four standards developed on the basis of EN regional standards). They include 37 interstate standards, 13 standards of the Russian Federation, one standard of the Republic of Belarus and two certified research methods. These documents include methods for determining total mass fraction of basic substance in various food additives, methods for determining safety indicators of flavorings and enzyme preparations, as well as methods for determining the content of food additives in various types of food products.
