The Eurasian Economic Commission clarified the accounting procedure for transportation costs to determine the customs value of goods imported into the Eurasian Economic Union by rail.
It is established that the customs value of such goods must include transportation costs required to reach the customs border of the Union.
The decision was taken following analysis of law enforcement practice in the EAEU based on proposals by business community. It will allow entrepreneurs and railways to determine the sum of transportation costs to be included in the customs value of imported goods clearly in any situation.
That will help eliminate disputes with regard to including costs of goods transportation by rail transport into the customs value.
