Approaches to Asia-Pacific regional trade agreements: key aspects for the EAEU (together with the US-Russian Business Council)

Page ContentThe aim of the event will be the review of the rules of trade in the Asia-Pacific region that are currently emerging along with the opportunities and difficulties for EAEU exporters when working on these markets, the assessment of the possibilities of their involvement in building supply chains using future crossings of the trade agreements, as well as improving interaction between the business community of the EAEU Member States and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The event will be attended by representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Russian Foreign Trade Academy, the US-Russia Business Council, Vietnam, China and others, as well as the business associations of the Member States of the EAEU. The agenda of the event includes the issues related to the already completed and upcoming prospective trade deals in the Asia-Pacific region (TPP, RCEP, FTAAP), outlining the prospects for business in the TPP and the market opportunities for third countries, China’s concept of One Belt, One Way, business opportunities when employing the free trade agreements between the EAEU and Vietnam for the formation of value chains, the role of free trade agreements in the centre of East Asia for comprehensive regional economic partnership, etc.
