EEC Board approved Agreement on common system for customs transit between EAEU and third party

On April 25, the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board adopted a disposition to approve the Agreement on the common system for customs transit between the Eurasian Economic Union and a third party and send it to the Eurasian Economic Union countries for internal approval.

The sides should inform the Commission about the internal approval results before June 1, 2023.

The draft Agreement was prepared as part of executing Paragraph 3.1.8 of the Action Plan for implementing the Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025. It defines the main principles of the common system for customs transit between the Union and a third party: the use of a single transit declaration when transporting goods through the EAEU customs territory and the customs territory of a third party, the application of common security, mutual recognition and provision to authorized economic operators of certain special simplifications, as well as the use of one navigation seal for the entire transportation.
