EEC Board extended zero duties on certain types of phosphates
The Eurasian Economic Commission's Board decided to extend for two years the zero rate of import customs duty in respect of certain types of phosphates (code 2510 20 000 0 of the CN FEA of the EAEU).
"The measure helps ensure the capacity utilization of mineral fertilizer production facilities in conditions of limited phosphate production in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union," noted Vahagn Ghazaryan, Director of the EEC Tariff and Non-Tariff Customs Regulation Department.
In order to ensure the continuity in applying the measure, it is envisaged that the decision shall come into effect after 30 calendar days have elapsed from the date of its official publication and shall apply to legal relations arisen since January 5, 2024.

The current rate of the CCT EAEU import customs duty in respect of these types of raw materials is 5% of the customs value. In accordance with Decision No. 2 of the Commission's Board dated January 12, 2021 and Decision No. 80 of the Commission's Council dated September 14, 2021, a temporary import customs duty rate of 0% of the customs value is applied from January 5, 2021 to January 4, 2024.
