Representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission took part in the 25th Summer Diplomatic Games, which were held on August 24 in Tver Region.
The Commission's employees took part in all disciplines of the sports program, which included volleyball, mini-football, basketball, tennis, cross-country running, fishing and clay pigeon shooting.
The competitions resulted in the EEC team winning the first place in the Summer Diplomatic Games in volleyball. The Commission's victory was brought by Alexey Efimov (Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department), Azamat Kanukov (Department of Finance), Sergei Kozlov (Department for Macroeconomic Policy), Daria Melnik (Energy Department), Sergei Pankov (Internal Markets Department), Mikhail Yusov (Industrial Policy Department), and Albert Yanen (Department for Competition and Public Procurement Policy).
The EEC basketball team performed well, winning two games out of three, but lost in the competition for prize places.
The Commission representatives also distinguished themselves individually.
Maria Reutskaya from the Organizational Support and Protocol Department took 3rd place in tennis.
Daria Melnik from the Energy Department took 4th place in the 200 m cross-country race.
The
sporting event was attended by heads and employees of diplomatic and consular
missions accredited in the Russian Federation, employees of international
organizations and members of their families.
