Commission to develop regulations for filling in declarations for goods in respect of imported supplies

Some issues relevant to the business community simplifying the declaration of goods and aimed at cost savings of foreign trade operators in the current environment were considered at the first meeting of the Working Group on the customs declaring procedures under the Advisory Committee on Customs Regulation.

The event was held under the chairmanship of Grigor Ohanyan, Deputy Director of the EEC Department of Customs Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice, on March 10.

The main subjects broached by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs included the issue of determining the procedure for filling in the declaration for goods in respect of imported supplies. According to the RUIE, this will simplify declaring of supplies and will be an additional support measure in the current climate.

Further to the meeting, the experts agreed that the Commission would draft a decision of the EEC Board which would determine regulations for filling in the declaration for goods in respect of supplies imported into the Union’s territory and present it at the next meeting of the Working Group.

Furthermore the Working Group’s meeting agreed for the most part special aspects of filling in the declaration for goods when using it as a permit for processing. The draft decision will enable simplifying the processing procedure for commodity items and reduce the costs of EAEU countries’ companies, including when making repairs of certain categories of goods.
