On October 1 in Yerevan, Heads of Government of the Eurasian Economic Union countries approved a medium-term strategic document — the Main Directions of Industrial Cooperation within the EAEU until 2030.
The new medium-term benchmarks for industrial cooperation are in line with the industrial development trends in the Union. The list of priority industries was made current and expanded, and the list of indicators of industrial development and cooperation within the Union was updated and supplemented.
Intergovernmental Council Members also approved the report on joint import substitution projects implemented by the EAEU Member States. The document is submitted for consideration by Heads of Government every two years based on the results of the relevant monitoring of the Union's Industrialization Map and contains information on the areas of work on import substitution in the Member States, as well as conclusions and proposals to promote the development of joint import substitution projects.
Also approved were joint
forecasts for agricultural sector development, balances of supply and demand of
the Member States for agricultural produce, foodstuffs, flax fiber, rawstock,
cotton fiber and wool for 2024–2025.
