Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, paid a working visit to Baku on May 16-17.
Mikhail Myasnikovich took part in the opening ceremony of the 16th Azerbaijan International Exhibition "Agriculture" Caspian Agro and the 28th Azerbaijan International Exhibition "Food Industry" InterFood Azerbaijan. The Head of the EEC Board visited the main exhibition pavilions, where more than 450 companies from 31 countries across the globe were represented, including Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.
During his visit to Baku, Mikhail Myasnikovich was received by Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting discussed the trade growth and extending trade opportunities between Azerbaijan and the Eurasian Economic Union Member States.
The Chairman of the EEC Board also exchanged views on relevant matters of cooperation with Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Majnun Mammadov, Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, and Mikhail Bocharnikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Azerbaijan.
"The Eurasian integration creates a solid foundation for the sustainable economic development of the Member States and serves to strengthen mutual understanding among nations," the Chairman of the EEC Board noted during the visit.
