EAEU statistics for 10 years published

The Statistics Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission has published a compendium "10 Years of the Eurasian Integration" dedicated to the decade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, which includes information on the main socio-economic indicators of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The EAEU GDP per capita based on the purchasing power parity increased by almost 34%, which is a shade higher than the global average for the same period (32%): from 22.8 ths US dollars in 2012 to 30.5 ths US dollars in 2021. 

The Union's industrial output increased by 20%. For reference, the European Union’s industrial output increased by 10% for the period from 2012 to 2021, and in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) it grew by 8.5%. Over a ten-year period, the number of the EAEU countries’ permanent population has also increased, including the labor force, agricultural production, turnover of goods by all modes of transport, and mutual trade in goods. The EAEU unemployment rate was 4.9% in 2021, which is far below the same European indicator (7%) and below the global average unemployment rate (6.2%).

A pocket compendium with key statistics for 5 years has been published as well. It contains information on the EAEU square footage, population, salary, the EAEU GDP, manufacture of industrial and agricultural products, as well as profiles of the Member States with the key indicators characterizing social and economic development over the past five years.
