Enactment of EAEU Technical Regulation "On requirements to energy efficiency of power-consuming devices" postponed

On the proposal of the Russian side, the EEC Council adopted a decision to postpone enactment of the EAEU Technical Regulation "On requirements to energy efficiency of power-consuming devices" to September 1, 2025. The decision was adopted as part of implementing the list of measures to improve economic stability of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States, including ensuring macroeconomic stability, approved by Disposition No. 12 of the Commission’s Council dated March 17, 2022. Postponing the effective date of the technical regulation will enable updating a number of the technical regulation's requirements and completing the development and adoption of second-level acts required for implementing technical regulations - a list of standards and labels of energy efficiency of power-consuming devices.

The same decision of the EEC Council has postponed enactment of the decision adopted by the Commission’s Council establishing label forms for various types of power-consuming devices as well as their drafting rules to March 1, 2025. Furthermore, the effective date of individual requirements as specified in Annexes No. 3, 5, 6, 9, 12, 13 and 14 to the technical regulation has been postponed for three years as well.
