EAEU countries' representatives explored activities of ATS JSC

On September 18, Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, jointly with the Members of the Council of Heads of Authorized Energy Authorities and authorized representatives of the EAEU countries, visited the headquarters of ATS JSC. This company will perform the functions of the operator of centralized trade on a day-ahead basis and the registrar in the Union's common electric power market. This decision was previously adopted by the EEC Council.

The ATS representatives presented to the meeting attendees the procedure for performing the functions of the operator of centralized trade on a day-ahead basis and the registrar, envisaged by the rules for the functioning of the Union's common electric power market.

During the visit, they examined the existing resources of the company that ensures reliable and transparent operation of the Russian wholesale electric power and capacity market, as well as the progress in preparations by ATS JSC to perform its functions in the Union's common market and upgrade the technological platform for electric power trading.

Arzybek Kozhoshev thanked the officials of ATS JSC for organizing the meeting and practical demonstration of the electric power market trading system, its business processes and hardware and software system and expressed hope that understanding the functioning of the technological framework for the future day-ahead market would contribute to the early settlement of differences between the parties.
