By Decision No. 9 of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council dated September 11, 2024, Ruslan Davydov was appointed Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
He has extensive diplomatic experience. He has been serving in the customs authorities since 2008, for more than 10 years he was Deputy and First Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service. From February 2023 to May 2024, he served as Acting Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
He represented the interests of the Russian Federation in the World Customs Organization (WCO). From 2014 to 2016, he was Head of the Audit Committee of the WCO Council; from 2016 to 2017, he was Chairman of the WCO Council; and from 2017 to 2019, he was Vice Chairman of the WCO Council.
