EAEU countries recommended to harmonize "quality of goods" concepts
The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board approved the recommendation "On approaches to defining the "quality of goods" concept in the field of consumer rights protection".
The "quality" concept is proposed to include characteristics ensuring compliance of goods with the established safety requirements, terms of a civil contract, intended use as well as information provided to the consumer.
The document provisions will contribute to harmonizing national regulation and ensuring the principle of equal consumer rights protection in the Union.
The recommendation was prepared in accordance with the action plan for implementing the Strategy-2025 to mitigate existing differences in national regulation.
