Higher degree certificates will be recognized in the EAEU countries directly

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has approved the draft Agreement on mutual recognition of higher degree certificates in the Eurasian Economic Union countries to be submitted for the internal legal procedures required for its signing.

"The Agreement contemplates mutual direct recognition of higher degree certificates of workers issued in the Member States to carry out professional activities", noted Ruslan Beketaev, EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy.
Nowadays, in order to recognize academic degrees in the state of employment, a nostrification (recognition) procedure should be completed, which differs in the EAEU countries in terms of complexity and duration.

This complicates the movement of workers with the highest scientific degree within the EAEU.

The draft agreement is aimed at creating favorable conditions for the movement of highly qualified workers and the implementation of joint research projects in the EAEU States.
