Valentin Tataritsky took part in 2nd All-Russian Dairy Forum

The important role of the Eurasian law in shaping food safety and protecting the Union's market as a whole was emphasized by Valentin Tataritsky, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, at the 2nd All-Russian Regional Dairy Forum “Interests and Importance of the Russian Dairy Business” held on September 17 in Sochi.

In his report “Technical Regulation and EAEU Veterinary and Sanitary Measures for Free Market Circulation of Safe Food Products: Law and Development Prospects”, the Minister informed on the main innovations in the technical and veterinary and sanitary legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union in relation to dairy products, as well as on current developments in these fields.

Along with that, Valentin Tataritsky emphasized the importance of digital technology development for improving the quality and safety of food products, focusing the forum attendees' attention on the promising opportunities of the “Digital Technical Regulation” project being implemented in the EAEU.

”Interaction through common processes in veterinary medicine will make it possible to efficiently combat low-quality and fake dairy products,” the EEC Minister is convinced. ”It is obvious that in the future these processes and digital technical regulation will closely communicate, contributing to improved food safety”.

Valentin Tataritsky paid attention to the need to intensify the Union States' efforts to ensure full-fledged functioning of the Union's rules and procedures.

The 2nd All-Russian Regional Dairy Forum brought together over 170 participants, including representatives of the dairy industry, businesses, and the regulatory sphere. The Forum events were attended by representatives of the Commission's Department for Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Veterinary Measures.
