Tourism development issues discussed at EEF-2023
A session on tourism "Discovering Eurasia" was held as part of the 2nd Eurasian Economic Forum (EEF).
Key issues of tourism development were discussed, as well as an exchange of experience between representatives of business communities was carried out in order to develop approaches to the implementation of the tasks facing both the Eurasian States and the Eurasian Economic Union as a whole.
In this regard, the session participants noted the importance of fulfilling the potential of the Union for tourism development in the EAEU countries.
“The tourism industry is notable for a significant multiplier effect, directly affects the development of related industries, creates jobs, as well as expands prospects for small and medium-sized businesses,” Ernar Bakenov, Director of the Business Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, noted in his speech.The session "Discovering Eurasia" became a platform for discussing the formation of Eurasian tourist routes, comparing quality standards for the rendering of tourist services and working out a development concept, which are key measures in the field of tourism under the Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Integration until 2025.
