Doctors, teachers, IT specialists and drivers are most in demand in common EAEU labor market

Having analyzed professions in demand in the national labor markets, the Eurasian Economic Commission jointly with the Union countries' competent authorities prepared a List of the most demanded servant positions and worker professions in the EAEU labor market.

Professions in demand are those for which there is a demand for workers in the labor market of three or more EAEU countries.

"Citizens, whose professions are included in the List and who want to find a job outside their country of residence, have received reliable information on the demand for such professions in other Union countries, which will reduce their costs and the job-search period," Ruslan Beketaev, EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy stated.
The list can also be used in career guidance counseling within the EAEU countries. It is planned to regularly update the document in accordance with the situation on the labor market.

Such sectors as health care, education, construction, agriculture and IT technologies have the highest demand for employees. The need for healthcare specialists has increased especially during the spread of the COVID-19 infection. The growing need for IT specialists is due to the transition of many economic sectors to a digital format. In the field of education, there is a traditionally high demand for employees of pedagogical specialties.

Such sectors as road transport, trade, public services, housing and communal services, construction, agriculture and industry have the highest demand for workers. The demand for workers in construction, the public utility sector, agriculture, and industry is growing due to the recovery and growth of national economies after reducing restrictions imposed amidst the spread of COVID-19 infection.

The service market development observed in the EAEU countries also requires a larger number of workers. Traditionally, drivers of vehicles of various categories are in high demand.
