This was said by Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, during the strategic session of the 6th New Silk Way Transport and Logistics Business Forum held as part of the Kazakhstan Transport Week in Astana.
The EEC Minister emphasized that the international track in the transport sector was opening up new opportunities for developing cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union with their partners in the CIS – Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as with third countries – China, India, Iran, the Middle East, South East Asian, Latin American countries.
Arzybek Kozhoshev was confident that the Forum would serve as a good platform for discussing emerging opportunities and developing proposals for leveraging them.
On the sidelines of the Forum, the EEC Minister held a working meeting with Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, to discuss the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of transport.
