Air Transport
Member States recognize that every Member State has complete and exclusive sovereignty over the airspace above its territory.
Flights of the Member States aircraft within the Union are carried out on the basis of international treaties of the Member States and (or) permits issued in accordance with the procedures set by the Member States legislation.
The Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union stipulates that the Union air transport development shall be carried out within the framework of the coordinated (agreed) transport policy through gradual formation of a common air transport services market.
It is also noted that the Member States coordinate their efforts to develop a single approach to application of standards and recommended practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Air transport issues are managed by the Section of Water and Air Transport of the Transport and Infrastructure Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
