Armen Harutyunyan: "Dialogue with businesses in the regions is especially important for making informed integration decisions in the EAEU"

As part of their working visit to the Krasnodar Territory, Armen Harutyunyan, Director of the Agricultural Policy Department​ of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Alfred Sadoyan, Assistant Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture, held a meeting with representatives of several leading agricultural associations and enterprises in the region.

The event was attended by Vladimir Sukhomlinov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Krasnodar Territory, Aleksandr Tkachenko, head of the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Evgeny Gromyko, adviser to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vyselkovsky Agricultural Complex, representatives of the National Association of Corn and Sunflower Seed Producers, the Southern Dairy Union, companies engaged in seed production. Participants to the meeting exchanged their views on the prospects for agricultural sector development, export of agricultural products and logistics. The discussion participants paid particular attention to the development of breeding and seed production, manufacture of machinery and equipment for the agricultural sector in the Eurasian Economic Union, and entry into the markets of third countries with dairy products, primarily cheese.

Besides, the EEC delegation headed by Armen Harutyunyan, Director of the Agricultural Policy Department, visited a number of modern processing enterprises of the agricultural complex named after N.I. Tkachev: meat processing plants "Yugptitseprom" and "Vyselkovsky", as well as "Nikolaev Cheese Factories", where production processes are automated and robotized.

"Scaling up successful models of automation, robotization and digital transformation of the agricultural sector within the EAEU is one of the priority areas of our activities. It allows us to standardize production processes, ensure stable product quality, control safety and minimize production losses," Armen Harutyunyan stated.
