EEC held consultations with Mongolian side on preparing interim trade agreement

On September 5-6, the Eurasian Economic Commission held consultations with the Mongolian side on preparing for signing a draft interim trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States on the one part, and Mongolia on the other part.

“Following the consultations, we agreed with our colleagues to make necessary efforts to ensure the possibility of signing the agreement by the end of this year,” noted Mikhail Tcherekaev, Deputy Director of the EEC Trade Policy Department.

 
The decision to start negotiations with Mongolia on concluding the interim trade agreement was adopted by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on May 8, 2024. The round of negotiations took place on July 2-3, 2024.
