Ruslan Davydov, "The Customs Union is the basis of the Eurasian Economic Union"

Minsk hosted one of the main events of the Eurasian Economic Forum business program, the panel session "Integration Processes in the Field of Customs Regulation: Innovations and Economic Benefits".

The session was moderated by Ruslan Davydov, EEC Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation. Together with the session participants — deputy heads of customs services of the EAEU Member States and business community representatives — he discussed the prospects of introducing innovations in the customs sector and their impact on the development of the Eurasian integration.

Representatives of customs services shared the results of their work over the past 10 years of the EAEU existence, told about the plans to introduce advanced technologies in the daily activities of customs services, and business community representatives made specific proposals to improve the interaction between customs and businesses.

"Of utmost importance for achieving the Eurasian integration goals in customs affairs is the coordinated joint work of the Commission and customs services of the EAEU member countries, aimed at creating comfortable conditions for the development of foreign economic activity of the Union, as well as a favorable business climate for bona fide participants of foreign economic activity," stressed Ruslan Davydov, EEC Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation.
