Working Group to develop methodology for calculating distribution ratios of import customs duties in EAEU established
By Disposition of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, a Working Group on developing a methodology for calculating distribution ratios of import customs duties between the budgets of the EAEU countries and the frequency of their review was established on February 14.
The Working Group was headed by Bakhyt Sultanov, EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy. The Group included representatives of the Union countries' authorized bodies.
It bears reminding that at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the end of 2023, the Presidents of the Eurasian "five" countries instructed the Commission to develop and submit an updated methodology for calculating the distribution ratios of import customs duties between the budgets of the EAEU States and the frequency of revising such duties to the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council for approval in H1 2024.
