Decision No. 6 of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council dated May 27, 2022 "On the Beginning of Negotiations with the Republic of Indonesia on Concluding an Agreement on a Free Trade Area" (Russian language)

Status

On May 27, 2022, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council decided to start negotiations with the Republic of Indonesia on concluding a free trade agreement. The Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission A.A. Slepnev and the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Z. Hasan met on December 5, 2022 for a launch of negotiations. Following its results, a joint statement was signed noting the high interest of the parties in launching negotiations as soon as possible.

The first round of negotiations on concluding a free trade agreement took place on April 3-5, 2023 in Jakarta.

As for taday, four rounds of negotiations have been held (the last one was held in March, 2024).
