26 Jun 2025 Gohar Barseghyan, "EEC is ready to support specific projects on robot production" The introduction in the Eurasian Economic Union countries of industrial robots and robotic systems designed for the automation of technological and business processes was discussed on June 26 in Minsk at the EEF 2025 round table "Application of Robotic Systems as a Driver for Competitiveness of Industrial Enterprises of the EAEU Member States" with the participation of Gohar Barseghyan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission. "Currently, the leading countries of the world are developing and implementing national strategies for introducing industrial and service robots and robotic systems in various economic sectors. The issues of automation and robotic applications in technological processes are especially topical for industry and agriculture, where significant professional resources are required," Gohar Barseghyan stressed. It is known that the leading nations of the world have a robotic application ratio of over 100 or even 1,000 industrial robots per 10,000 workers. On the initiative of businesses and government agencies of the EAEU countries, the Robotics Eurasian technology platform is being created in the Union, and the Industrial Robotics interstate program is being developed. The task is to achieve mass introduction of efficient industrial robots and robotic systems in industry over the next five years. For this purpose, it is practical to ensure smooth interaction between sectoral associations, research institutions and industrial enterprises of the Eurasian Five countries, to proceed to the implementation of specific investment projects in robotics. "Given the relevance of the topic, the Commission, within the framework of the current financial mechanism, is ready to support specific projects for serial production of industrial and service robots and the corresponding modernization of enterprises. We are already working on finding required cooperation projects," summarized Gohar Barseghyan.
26 Jun 2025 Promising Areas of Cooperation in Nuclear Technologies Discussed at EEF 2025 in Minsk On June 26 in Minsk the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum hosted a round table "Development of Nuclear Technologies within the Main Directions of Industrial Cooperation in the EAEU until 2030: Prospects for Cooperative Interaction of the EAEU Member States". It was attended by Gohar Barseghyan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The event invited interest from the heads of government agencies and organizations, and representatives of academic circles responsible for developing nuclear technologies in the Eurasian Economic Union countries and Uzbekistan. The EEC Minister encouraged an active use of the Commission's existing instruments for promoting industrial cooperation, such as Eurasian technology platforms and the mechanism of financial support for industrial cooperation. "The creation of the Eurasian technology platform in the field of nuclear and radiation engineering will serve as an additional incentive to develop cooperation between key organizations of the industry and will allow converging the interests of government agencies, business and science within the Union," Gohar Barseghyan noted. The round table participants talked about the main competencies and achievements of the Union countries and the EAEU Observer State Uzbekistan in the field of nuclear medicine, as well as about the development of nuclear technologies in industry. A wide range of issues was touched upon: from the innovative production of radiopharmaceuticals to the implementation of several joint initiatives in the nuclear field, including the Russian-Kyrgyz project to establish a nuclear medicine center in Kyrgyzstan. State Corporation Rosatom presented a project to build a multipurpose research reactor MBIR, which is important for the development of scientific cooperation between the Union states. The event participants expressed their intention to raise the level of economic and research and technology dialogue at the supranational level, to implement applied joint projects in the field of nuclear technologies and to exchange innovative developments: from medicine to equipment for NPPs.
26 Jun 2025 Goar Barseghyan: "Cooperation becomes a strategic tool for providing food to citizens of the Eurasian Five countries" Goar Barseghyan, Minister in charge of Industry and the Agricultural Sector of the Eurasian Economic Commission, drew attention to the steady growth of agricultural sector indicators within the Eurasian Economic Union on June 26 in Minsk at the EEF 2025 during the round table "Cooperation in the EAEU as the Path to the Efficient Development of the Agricultural Sector". The EEC Minister noted that since the establishment of the integration association the agricultural output has increased by 25%, mutual trade has increased 1.8 times, external supplies have more than doubled. At the same time, there is a potential for further development of the agricultural sector, associated with the possibility of financial support for cooperation projects at the expense of the EAEU budget. "Cooperation becomes, in fact, a strategic tool for guaranteed provision of food products to the citizens of the Eurasian Five countries and reducing our dependence on external market fluctuations," Goar Barseghyan emphasized. The round table discussed promising areas and projects for developing cooperation, including with the use of financial support mechanisms, and reviewed the experience of interstate cooperation. In this regard, the discussion participants drew attention to the need to enhance the dialogue between government agencies, entrepreneurs and financial institutions. Also, the sectoral cooperation mechanisms were considered the day before on the sidelines of the EEF 2025 within the framework of the 26th meeting of the Presidium of the EAEU Business Council. The round table was attended by representatives of public authorities, business and scientific circles of the EAEU states, third countries and international organizations. The moderator was Roman Brodov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus JSC.
