Young Diplomats Association can make significant contribution to the formation of Greater Eurasian Partnership
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) together with the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (CYD MFA RF) are considering the possibility of creating a single platform for interaction between young specialists of the Foreign Ministries of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia - the Young Diplomats Association of the Eurasian Economic Union (YDA EAEU). The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) together with the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (CYD MFA RF) are considering the possibility of creating a single platform for interaction between young specialists of the Foreign Ministries of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia - the Young Diplomats Association of the Eurasian Economic Union (YDA EAEU).This new entity could contribute to the development of an open dialogue on economic diplomacy in the Union’s territory. This was stated by Daniyar Turusbekov, Director of the EEC Organizational Support and Protocol Department, at the plenary session “Opportunities for developing economic diplomacy in the Eurasian space” within the 6th Forum of Young Diplomats of the Eurasian space “Integration processes in the Eurasian space in 2014-2019: results and prospects”. The event attended by the EEC representatives for the first time was held on July 10 at the International Trade Center in Moscow.Daniyar Turusbekov expressed his confidence that the Association of Young Diplomats could make a significant contribution to the formation of the Greater Eurasian Partnership. “The Member States’ association of young specialists can become one of the assemblage points of a wider integration circuit in the Greater Eurasia space”, - the EEC representative noted. He declared that the Eurasian Economic Commission was currently working on creating the EEC Youth Council.Daniyar Turusbekov thanked Konstantin Kolpakov, Chairman of the CYD MFA of Russia, for cooperation with the EEC as well as active work on consolidation of the Member States’ diplomatic community.The Director of the EEC Organizational Support and Protocol Department reminded that the Declaration on further deepening of integration processes in the EAEU dated December 6, 2018 prioritized broad involvement of citizens, public and business associations of the Member States in the processes of the EAEU functioning as well as their participation in determining further directions of the Eurasian integration development.On a long-term horizon such work could contribute to the formation of the Eurasian elite, as Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the EEC Board, repeatedly called for at all venues. “In this regard, the association of young diplomats of the EAEU countries is a step towards creating an environment for the exchange of brand new ideas and determining further directions of the Eurasian integration development”, – stressed Daniyar Turusbekov.The Director of the EEC Department told that the fourth International Forum “Eurasian Week” will be held in Bishkek from September 25 to September 27; he also invited young diplomats to participate in the EAEU Young Leaders School as part of the forum for joint review of the EAEU’s activities and discuss the Union’s development prospects.Besides, traditional Summer Diplomatic Games sponsored by the MFA of Russia as well as the World Billiards Championship “Free pyramid” initiated by the Chairman of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan will be held this year within the framework of celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Treaty on the EAEU and the 25th anniversary of the Eurasian integration idea. The championship will be held on the eve of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council’s meeting from August 7 to August 14 on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan. All these events are aimed at large-scale involvement of young people of the EAEU countries, young specialists and experts in a common work at all venues.
