The Eurasian Economic Union countries have great opportunities for developing the potential of renewable energy sources. In this regard, the Russian Federation's experience and developments are very useful. This was stated by Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, on September 22.
The EEC Minister participated in the round table focused on the Legislative Provision of Comprehensive Measures for State Support for Wind Energy in the Arctic Zone of Russia and the Territories Equated to the Far North, which was held in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The round table discussed the development of a set of measures to support green energy, including the production and deployment of wind power plants (WPPs) in the extreme conditions of the Arctic and the Far North, mechanisms for determining the companies' needs in generating electricity using WPPs.As part of the event, Arzybek Kozhoshev had a business meeting with Sergei Mironov, head of the faction of the Socialist Party "A Just Russia – For Truth" of the State Duma, and Alexander Babakov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma. The meeting participants reached an agreement on further cooperation.
