Bakytzhan Sagintaev held negotiations with Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira, Argentine Ambassador to Russia
Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, held a working meeting with Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to the Russian Federation, on October 28 at the EEC's headquarters.
The sides discussed interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union and Argentina, as well as with the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR), of which the Argentine Republic is a member.
The Head of the EEC Board noted the positive trends in mutual trade between the Eurasian Economic Union States and MERCOSUR.
The trade turnover between the EAEU and MERCOSUR countries increased by more than 30% in H1 2024 compared to the same period of 2023.
In turn, Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira expressed interest in extending cooperation.
