EEC and World Bank discussed possible areas of cooperation in Central Asia

Issues of the low-carbon agenda and related modernization of economic sectors, transport and digitalization, as well as food security are the most promising areas of interaction between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the World Bank. Andrey Slepnev, EEC Minister in charge of Trade, and the World Bank’s new Regional Director for Central Asia Tatiana Proskuryakova discussed these possible aspects of work at the Eurasian Economic Commission’s venue.

The representative of the international financial organization informed on the main directions of her work in the region.

In turn, the Minister informed on relevant objectives of the EEC activities in the field of trade support of the Eurasian Economic Union with third countries, ensuring stable functioning of the internal market and responding to new challenges.

The event was attended by Renaud Seligmann, Director and Permanent Representative of the World Bank in the Russian Federation.
