Maxim Ermolovich and Mher Grigoryan Discussed Key Issues in EAEU Competition and Public Procurement

Achievements and gaps in the field of competition and public procurement in the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as the results of the 3rd Eurasian Economic Forum were discussed by Maxim Ermolovich, Minister in charge of Competition and Antitrust Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and Chairman of the EEC Council, on October 2 in Yerevan.

The parties paid attention to the topical issues raised at the EEF 2024, in particular the regulation of digital platforms, innovations in national and supranational competition law, the challenges of ensuring seamless mutual participation in public procurement of the EAEU countries, as well as the issues raised by businesses in the framework of the Public Reception Office of the Commission's Competition and Antitrust Regulation Unit.

In addition, the EEC Minister spoke about monitoring legislation of the EAEU countries in the field of public procurement for compliance with the law of the Union, which was the main discussion topic at the meeting of the Advisory Committee on Public (Municipal) Procurement on September 30 in Yerevan.

Maxim Ermolovich informed Mher Grigoryan about the work of the EEC Competition and Antitrust Regulation Unit in the international arena.
