EEC Minister Maksat Mamytkanov: "The Union goals are attainable thanks to highly qualified personnel in customs business and the promotion of the Eurasian integration idea among youth"

On May 27, Maksat Mamytkanov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, has held a public lecture on the EEC activities at the Kyrgyz State Law University in Bishkek.

Maksat Mamytkanov analyzed the development of the Commission and the Eurasian Economic Union and spoke about the milestones of the Eurasian integration, its benefits for businesses and citizens, as well as about implementing the Strategy-2025.

The students and teachers of the University were provided with methodological recommendations on the fundamental principles of law enforcement in the Union customs sphere, taking into account legislative initiatives and the proposals of the Commission. Minister emphasized the benefits of the Eurasian integration compared to a number of other global integration projects, one of which is undoubtedly the effect of the Union's most important document, the unified EAEU Customs Code.

Speaking about the response of the Member States to modern external challenges, including in customs business, Maksat Mamytkanov emphasized: "For ensuring a rapid response and the stability of the economic situation, the Eurasian Economic Commission, jointly with the ministries of economy and finance as well as the national banks of the Union States, has prepared a list of priority measures for improving the stability of the EAEU Member States' national economies."

EEC Minister urged the academic community to participate more actively in the development and improvement of the Union law, carry out the relevant research activities and exchange opinions at the expert level more often.

Maksat Mamytkanov expressed confidence that the hard work and curiosity of Kyrgyz students and profound knowledge they gain at the universities of Kyrgyzstan can greatly help in the further development of Eurasian integration processes.

"Attaining our Union's goals while ensuring the high living standards of the population and the prosperity of our countries is possible only through training highly qualified personnel, including the customs sphere, and promoting the Eurasian integration idea among youth."
