Standards for testing products of flammable natural gases approved

The list of standards containing rules and methods of research and measurement for implementing Technical Regulation "On safety of natural flammable gas prepared for transportation and(or) usage" has been approved.

Applying these standards enables to fully ensure compliance with the requirements for physico-chemical and performance indicators of gas prepared for transportation and (or) usage set out in the Annexes to the Technical Regulation.

The list of standards includes 32 interstate standards as well as 28 national standards of Kazakhstan and Russia, 26 of which have been developed on the basis of international ISO standards and 2 - on the basis of regional ASTM standards.

The list of optional standards has not been provided, since the requirements for products have been directly established in the Technical Regulation.

Along with that, transitional periods are provided for the EAEU countries’ national standards - before relevant interstate standards are developed.

For reference:

Developing standards is provided for by the draft Program for developing (amending, revising) interstate standards containing rules and methods of research (testing) and measurement, including the rules for sampling required for the application and fulfillment of requirements of this technical regulation in 2022-2023.
