From May 15 to May 19, the Department of Customs Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice of the Eurasian Economic Commission held a number of meetings to discuss draft EEC decisions required for taking measures envisaged by the roadmap for implementing in the Eurasian Economic Union a mechanism for monitoring traffic using navigation seals.
The roadmap elaborated by the Commission contains a set of measures, the implementation of which will make it possible to start monitoring the EAEU traffic as early as January 2024.
Following the discussion, the main provisions of the Commission's draft decisions scheduled for adoption in July this year, were discussed. They include the issues of applying (removing), activating (deactivating) navigation seals, as well as interaction, including information one, between regulatory authorities and national operators in relevant situations, and other high-priority draft acts.
The next round of meetings on draft EEC decisions is scheduled for mid-June 2023.
