Representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Industrial Unit took part in the business programs of the international exhibitions of chemical industry and science “Chemistry-2024” and the polytechnic exhibition of equipment and technologies for construction materials processing “Technoforum-2024”.
During the events, they discussed the issues of achieving technological sovereignty in the manufacturing industry, industrial cooperation and investment projects in the Eurasian Economic Union, and machine-tool industry development, as well as received additional inputs to continue the EEC Industrial Unit's work on preparing sectoral lists.
“Preparing the lists in accordance with the EEC Board's recommendation dated July 1 this year envisages the possibility of creating information databases that will allow to identify needs, coordinate work on mastering the production of critical machine-tool products and form new cooperation ties in the Union,” noted Dmitry Yaroshenko, Head of the EEC Industrial Policy Department's Section.
The Commission's delegation held a series of business meetings, including with Leonid Freiman, Deputy Executive Director of the Russian Chemists Union.
The Commission's representatives informed the exhibition attendees on the possibilities of using a mechanism for financing industrial cooperation in implementing projects involving three or more EAEU States.
