A meeting between Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Nadim Ahmad, Deputy Director of the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities, was held on May 12 at the headquarters of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris.
The parties discussed the possibility of intensifying interaction between the EEC and the OECD, and considered the functioning of the single market of services in the Eurasian Economic Union, regulation of trade in services, incorporation and activities, support for small and medium enterprises, and ensuring efficient protection of intellectual property rights.
Following the meeting, Bakytzhan Sagintaev and Nadim Ahmad confirmed their readiness for further cooperation between the EEC and the OECD on business development and intellectual property, as well as noted the importance of establishing information exchange, and holding working meetings and expert consultations.
