Creation of Eurasian process platform commenced on the basis of Russian platforms. Presentations of operation of 9 Russian process platforms (The medicine of the future, Bioindustry and Bioresources, Bioenergetics, Environmental development technologies, Photonics, Development of LED technologies, The technologies of mechatronics, integral control systems, radio-frequency identification and robotic industry, National software platform and National supercomputer platform) were held for Belarus and Kazakhstan sides.
The lists of Belarussian and Kazakhstan organizations were prepared for participation in the first four platforms.
The issue of membership of Belarussian and Kazakhstan coordinators of national programs in the management bodies of Russian platforms wa agreed upon. Draft memorandums were worked out and submitted for approval to the EEC legal department on EEC cooperation with process platforms which provided for development of roadmaps for establishment of three-party cooperation resulting in joint innovation projects.

Working meetings were held concerning the second subgroup of process platforms (Photonics, Development of LED technologies) where the list of live issues hindering development of industrial organizations in these areas was defined. Particularly it was found out that the market of equipment with laser and LED technologies was unorganized within the CFMZ:
·    large volumes of low-quality import from China which is not regulated by any documents;
·     Outdated codes of the Foreign Economic Activity Goods Nomenclature are in effect which do not allow tracking of such product trading volumes and evaluation of domestic market potential and the share of domestic manufacturers thereon;
·     dominance of medium- and small-size organizations which are incapable of solving system problems of these segments of the CFMZ domestic market within their status and financial possibilities.
At the meeting the agreement was reached on arrangement of joint actions by the Department and process platforms for improvement of operation of these segments of the CFMZ domestic market in order to solve system problems and eliminate barriers for development of these innovative industries.
