Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, spoke about the main directions of transport policy of the Eurasian Economic Union at the round table Transport Diplomacy and Sustainable Development in Ensuring Global Mobility on April 17 at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
“Medium- and long-term prospects for integration are laid down in the Eurasian Economic Path Declaration on further development of economic processes within the EAEU until 2030 and for the period until 2045. One of the key areas of the document is the establishment of a common transport and logistics space,” said Arzybek Kozhoshev. “Achieving economic progress, solving common problems of ensuring sustainable development and increasing the competitiveness of national economies is seen, among other things, through the implementation of transport policy, the coordinated development of transport corridors in Eurasia and the creation of an updated transport and infrastructure framework for Greater Eurasia.”
The EEC Minister noted the importance of the round table, emphasizing that such events give new impetus to the Commission's joint work with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union on sustainable development of the transport industry.
