Arzybek Kozhoshev noted a high degree of preparation of the draft international oil treaty and stressed the importance of consistent implementation of arrangements reached at the highest level, and enshrined in the EAEU law.
"In order to early finalize the fundamental documents and launch the common markets in a timely manner, I deem it necessary to focus on a constructive dialogue and searching for solutions to the most sensitive issues of the oil sector", the EEC Minister stressed.
For his part, Andrey Rybakov expressed his readiness to further explore the issues of regulating oil transportation relations, including services rendered by operators, with interested public authorities of the Republic of Belarus to search for workable compromises.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed that the most sensitive issues related to ensuring the States’ domestic demands for oil would be considered by the heads of authorized bodies of the Union Member States in early August.
The international treaty on establishing common markets for oil and petroleum products is scheduled to be signed in 2023. The EAEU common energy markets should start operating by 2025.
