EEC established transitional provisions to amendments adopted to the technical regulations on milk and dairy products
The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has established transitional provisions to the amendments to the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union "On Milk and Dairy Products" adopted by Decision No. 143 of the Council of the Commission on September 23, 2022.
The draft decision determines a 180-calendar-day transitional period, during which the documents on assessment of dairy product conformity (documents on state registration of products (information on state registration of products contained in the Unified Register of Specialized Food Products)) with the requirements established by the technical regulations of the Union "On Dairy Product Safety” issued or accepted before September 22, 2023 remain in effect.
Where such conformity assessment documents are available, dairy products can be manufactured and released into circulation in the EAEU customs territory within
180 calendar days. Such products can be circulated during their shelf life determined by the manufacturer.
Amendments to the technical regulations have been introduced to adjust the conceptual apparatus of the technical regulations based on the results of law enforcement practice. They are to come into force on September 22, 2023.
