The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission removed weight and size restrictions for the sale of goods in duty-free stores. Previously, there was a ban on the sale of heavy goods (over 20 kg) and bulky goods (with the sum of length, width and height dimensions exceeding 200 cm).
The ban is also lifted on goods subject to export customs duties if they are prepared for retail sale and packaged in consumer containers as finished products.
The decision was taken following the relevant request of the EAEU business community in order to expand the range of goods in duty-free stores.
For reference
The restrictions will remain in effect in the Republic of Armenia.
