Gohar Barseghyan and Kazakhstan Government representatives discussed development of EAEU industrial and agricultural sectors

On April 17, as part of a working visit to Kazakhstan by Gohar Barseghyan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission, meetings were held with Serik Jumangarin, Member of the EEC Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Janel Kushukova, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic Kazakhstan; and Jannat Dubirova, Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meeting between Gohar Barseghyan and Serik Jumangarin discussed key issues of industry and agriculture, as well as a number of other relevant topics of Eurasian economic integration. The parties agreed to develop cooperation in the above areas.

The meeting of the EEC Minister with Aidarbek Saparov touched upon the implementation of the agreed agricultural policy and the development of the Kazakhstan agricultural sector within the Eurasian Economic Union, digital development of the agricultural sector, as well as circulation of crop seeds (in terms of GEM seeds).

Gohar Barseghyan and Janel Kushukova considered relevant matters on the agenda of the upcoming sessions of the Union’s bodies. The EEC Minister informed Janel Kushukova about the progress in implementing the financial support mechanism for joint cooperation projects in the industry of the Member States.

At the meeting with Jannat Dubirova, the development of the Main Directions of Industrial Cooperation within the EAEU until 2030 was discussed.
