EEC Board imposed fines on medicines distributor for failure to provide information

The Russian company DIAMED-pharma LLC and its manager were fined over 450 thousand rubles for failure to provide information requested by the Eurasian Economic Commission.

As part of considering materials on the signs of violations of general competition rules in transboundary markets of medicines, the EEC requested information from a number of juridical persons, including DIAMED-pharma LLC. However, DIAMED-Pharma failed to provide the information within the prescribed time limits. 

Based on that, the Commission initiated and considered a case against this economic entity and its manager.

On May 23, the EEC Board adopted a Decision to impose administrative penalties on the economic entity and its official for a total amount of over 450 thousand Russian rubles.

The EEC Board's Decision shall come into effect after 30 calendar days have elapsed from the date of its publication.

It bears reminding that in accordance with the Eurasian Economic Union's law, economic entities (market participants), non-profit organizations, public authorities, local authorities, other authorities or organizations (their officials) of the Member States performing their functions, and natural persons shall submit to the EEC, at its request and within the fixed time, any information, documents, data and explanations required by the Commission in accordance with its vested powers.
