Entry into force of technical regulations on energy efficiency requirements for energy consuming devices postponed

Upon Russia's proposal, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission postponed the enactment date of the Eurasian Economic Union's technical regulation "On Requirements for Energy Efficiency of Energy Consuming Devices" to September 1, 2028.

This will make it possible to update a number of requirements in the document through amendments, which are being prepared in accordance with the plan for developing EAEU technical regulations and amending them, and to finalize the development and adoption of the second-level acts necessary for the implementation of technical regulations, namely the list of energy efficiency standards and labels for energy consuming devices.

The same decision of the EEC Council postponed enactment of the decision adopted by the Commission’s Council establishing label forms for various types of power-consuming devices as well as their drafting rules to March 1, 2028. The enactment date of certain requirements stipulated in a number of annexes to the technical regulations was also postponed by three years.
