EAEU set deadlines for mutual comparative assessments

The relevant accreditation matters, planning mutual comparative assessments and the forms of conducting them were discussed at the meeting of the Council of heads of accreditation bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union countries attended by Viktor Nazarenko, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission

Performance of the Council and working groups created by it was summarized. It was noted that interaction between accreditation authorities and state control (supervision) authorities should be intensified.

"Interaction between accreditation authorities and state control authorities is one of the key mechanisms in ensuring that safe products circulate in the Union's market and honest organizations function in it," noted Viktor Nazarenko.

The Council meeting resulted in agreeing deadlines for mutual comparative assessments and approving the documents required for conducing them, as well as in drawing up plans for work in 2023. The agreement was reached on examining problematic issues of interaction between accreditation authorities and state control (supervision) authorities.

It was also decided to appoint Nazary Skrypnik, Head of the Federal Accreditation Service, as Chairman of the Council in 2023.
