At its meeting held on September 2, the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board approved an amended Program for Developing Interstate Standards to the Customs Union's Technical Regulation “On Safety of Milk and Dairy Products” (TR CU 033/2013).
The Program was prepared in accordance with the proposals submitted by the Eurasian Economic Union countries as well as with due regard to the implementation of the current version of the Program approved by the Decision of the Commission's Board in 2022.
The new version of the Program envisages the development (revision) of 73 new interstate standards by the end of 2029. Along with that, Russia is responsible for preparing 60 draft standards, Kazakhstan will prepare nine draft standards, and Armenia will prepare two draft standards.
Besides, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will jointly prepare two draft interstate standards for national dairy products.
A number of standards are developed for the first time, including those for milk protein concentrates, dry whey protein hydrolysates for baby food, raw and drinking sheep milk, dairy products for preschool and school-age children, etc.
The EEC Board's decision shall come into effect after 30 calendar days have elapsed from the date of its official publication.
