Magauiya Sarbasov was born in 1983 in Karaganda region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
An economist and Master of Public Administration by education.
He has been in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan since August 2003. Over the years, he worked in the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in the UAE and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan.
2006-2007: expert at the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2008-2010: First Secretary, Adviser of the Central Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2010-2016: Head of the International Cooperation Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2016-2017: Consultant of the Executive Office, Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2017-2018: Deputy Director of the Eurasian Integration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2018 to December 2024, he held the positions of Adviser to the President, Vice President, Chief Manager of NJSC Otandastar Qory (a subordinate organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
On December 10, 2024 he was appointed Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Organizational Support and Protocol Department.
An awardee of the Order of Kurmet and jubilee departmental medals.
Holds the Councillor, 1st Class diplomatic rank.
He authored a number of articles and scientific papers, co-authored the books The Kazakh World and International Interaction and Support Practices for Diaspora Communities.
He speaks Kazakh, Russian, and English.
He is married. Has four children.
